Ahoy shipmates! Take a look back at the heyday of Polynesian Pop Culture and how it was influenced by the spirit of adventure of sailing the high seas and exploring the South Pacific on a raft, schooner or the HMS Bounty. Journey with us now, just as our fore fathers did in the days of wooden ships and iron men. Mike Skinner, noted tiki researcher, historian, and presenter will share his research and knowledge with us on this integral part of tiki history. Listen to Mike’s presentation and you won’t be able to get back to the Molokai bar soon enough.

Hands On Tiki Cocktail Workshop
Each participant receives a bartender tool kit including a commemorative shaker, muddler, strainer, and more.

When it comes to tiki cocktails, what’s inside the glass or mug is often only half of the experience of a drink. In this class, bartenders from Hidden Harbor in Pittsburgh will teach you the ins and outs of tiki garnish and presentation, from the elegant to the over-the-top, and from the classic to the modern, including a few techniques from the bar’s bag of molecular mixology tricks. We’ll give you the know-how to make and serve fun and photograph-worthy tiki drinks for yourself and your guests. And for good measure, we’ll be making and sampling some very tasty tiki drinks along the way

Curious what a $200 bottle of rum tastes like? Here is your chance to find out. Join Ian Burrell, Global Rum Ambassador, as he guides you through a tasting of 6 different rums. The rums have been selected to highlight differences in taste and style, and includes rums from Mount Gay, Barbancourt, Don Q, Appleton, Clement, and Diplomatico. Included in those are two rums that retail for over $200 a bottle. You get to sample top rums without having to mortgage your home, but more importantly, Ian will explain why you pay a premium for these types of rums, and what makes an expensive rum worth the money (or not).

Please contact The Hukilau to request a refund. Refunds will be given through midnight March 31, 2017 after which time you can sell to someone on one of our Facebook pages or contact us to assist in the sale of your passes. You are responsible for contacting us with new attendee information
